This beach owes its name to the color of the sand, rich in coral fragments, mollusk shells, and pieces of granite and shells.Â
The cove is composed of four small beaches of very fine white sand, almost impalpable, surrounded by small dunes where junipers, brooms, roses, and sea lilies grow. Granite rocks surprise with curious shapes, the result of millennia of wind and sea erosion.Â

Cala Grande is a small valley, about 500 meters long, located in the western area of the Capo Testa promontory, in the municipality of Santa Teresa Gallura (SS), in Sardinia. It is also known as the Valley of (a name given to this place around the 1950s by a hippie community that settled there).Â
The Capo Testa lighthouse, due to its strategic position on the Strait of Bonifacio, is the most important lighthouse for navigation in the northern zone of Sardinia.Â
